Our days apart are naught but leaves,
And one by one they fall.
Yet hours will pass, like fleeing thieves,
Then we’ll be all in all.
My guiding star in darkest night,
Which shines through every gloam.
My faithful beacon blazing bright,
Your love leads surely home.
The miles between us are but threads,
Despite their gloomy pall;
The span is naught but gossamer,
And we shall breach its wall.
The lodestone of our faithfulness,
Still pulls to make us one.
Our forged and tempered tie that binds,
Shall never be undone.
