If I to thee and thee to me be barred;
Our paths of rendezvous and tryst besieged;
And every thought and act of love be marred;
To foes our former allies now be lieged;

Then nothing yet remains in this accrue,
To hold us captive long in this ague.
The great beyond will see us blest a-true;
To reunite and know our bliss anew.
