Chapter 10: Demonoloy 101
INTRODUCTION:
Righteous sons and daughters of God are supposed to have power and authority over the rebellious demons of Satan. Yet on many occasions we see prayer warriors fail in their encounters with demons. Why is this? Demons are able to overcome and take advantage of children of God, even though the children should have more power than the demons, because the demons have a better understanding than the children of “The Rules” of the spiritual realm and have much more experience in how to use the power and authority that God has granted to children and demons alike. Further, children of God have difficulty believing that they really have authority over demons, and so don’t receive all the power they could have. Thus it is imperative that we study hard to learn what our Father has given us and learn how to use it to beat our enemies in their own realm.
We already know that when commanding demons we must speak out loud, because they can’t read our minds. But remember, you are speaking to them in the spiritual realm, not the physical realm. So it isn’t necessary to yell to make them hear you. Yelling is useful only if it helps you exert your authority; they don’t need it. Thus, even though you may be whispering in your flesh, they can hear you; and so long as within your spirit you know your authority, you’ll be effective.
DEMONS:
Demons are fallen angels; that is, they were angels that once served the cause of “Good”, but who chose to rebel against God and now serve the cause of “Evil”. As angels they served in a hierarchal system, and they were given power from God to perform given duties and responsibilities. It is now assumed that although they have chosen a new allegiance and become demons they have retained some type of organizational system similar to what they were used to. It is also apparent that they have retained the powers originally given to them by God, even though they are no longer in His service and are now using those powers against God. This is in accordance with the heavenly principle that once God gives someone a gift, He doesn’t take it away. This holds true even if the gift isn’t used in the manner it was originally intended. This is important for us to remember because the same principle applies to us as well. However: although God doesn’t take back a gift, if we decide we don’t want a particular gift we can give it back. Further, demons can trick us into unwittingly surrendering a gift, by causing us to disbelieve that we really have it.
RANKS:
Demons have a hierarchal system wherein some have more power and authority than others, and where some are bosses and others are workers. It isn’t known how many different levels of authority there are or how their chain of command is organized. But if we refer to human organizational structures, we can draw some generalizations to help our understanding.
We acknowledge from the start that their structure doesn’t match our structures, so the parallels cannot be perfect, and some of the assumptions may be inaccurate. But we present the best of our understanding in the hopes that even general information may be helpful for you.
Two well known human-based hierarchal systems are the military and government service. In the military, the lowest level is the privates; above these are the non-commissioned officers; above them are the commissioned officers; finally there is the commander-in-chief. Also, within each category (other than commander) there are further divisions and ranks. The senior officers are put in charge of specific duties or areas of operation, and are given a company of soldiers, as well as non-comms and junior officers, to assist them in carrying out their tasks.
In government service, employees are assigned a service grade (level) according to ability and experience, with the lowest levels starting at grade 1 and working up the single digits; the grades from 10 through 20 having proportionally greater responsibilities; and the grades over 20 being relatively high level personnel. Those of higher grade are able to command those of lower grade. Those of mid and high grades are assigned workers of lower grades to help them carry out their responsibilities.
It is assumed that the demonic system may follow a structure similar to these in many respects, since an organized structure allows for more efficient and effective warfare. And the fight between good and evil is very much a real war.
ASSIGNMENTS:
Demons are given specific assignments to carry out to further their cause in this world. It appears that among “The Rules” of spiritual warfare one of the requirements is that in order for a demon to be allowed to stay in this world they must have an assignment. Demonic assignments can be any one of several different categories.
Assignments can be to a particular location, such as to a house, an institution, a city, and so on. The larger the area of assignment, the higher ranking the demon; e.g. a private can only get a single house, while an entire city would require an officer helped by many assistants. An assignment category might also be to follow certain people; it may be an individual, an entire family, or all the members of a given organization. Again, the larger the responsibility, the higher the demon’s rank. For example, an ordinary person might get a private, while the president of a powerful organization would get a mid-level officer. An assignment might also be to propagate a specific emotion. Typically these are the negative feelings such as one of the carnal sins — pride, anger, lust, etc; or some other emotion like fear or hatred. They also can be given a feeling not usually recognized as negative, such as religiosity or judgmentalism.
CATEGORIES & SPECIALIZATION:
Demonic work assignments can be grouped into broad categories; then these categories can be further broken down into specializations. A few of the broad categories are the carnal sins, religion, and diseases. Within the carnal sin group we find specialists in pride, anger, lust, envy, greed, gluttony, and sloth. Within the religious group we find experts in religiosity (saved by spiritual attitude), legalism (saved by works), libertine-ism (free of all restraints), judgmentalism (critical of everyone), and guilt & unforgiveness. Within the diseases group we find specialists in cancer, heart disease, addictions, self-destructive acts, depression, psychiatric illnesses, etc.
The reason it is helpful to understand these categories and specializations is because there will be times that some demons resist going out after you speak a blanket command — “All demons present, get out!” When this happens you will need to identify the resisters as explicitly as possible — “Demon of alcoholism, go to the Pit!” “Spirit of Anger, go out.” “Spirit of Unforgivingness, go out.”, etc. Most times once you’ve specifically addressed them by job assignment, they then will go. You will still find a few who continue to resist; but we’ll discuss how to handle them shortly.
SIZE/APPEARANCE/FEEL:
Although demons exist in the spiritual realm rather than the physical realm, and therefore don’t have a spatial existence as we understand it, they do project what can be called a perception of size. Some try to be imposing and intimidating, and so project a seemingly massive being. Others are sneaky, and thus try to exude as small an aura as possible. These latter frequently go unnoticed unless the prayer warrior specifically looks for these unobtrusive, or hidden, demons. A great many of the regular demons seem to be the size of a basketball. One note: relative size is not necessarily an indication of the demon’s rank.
In appearance, most just project the semblance of a very dense shadow; a ball of nothingness, so to speak. Some, however, have the semblance of what we picture when we think of fallen angels. And some take on monstrous and frightening forms. A few take on no appearance at all, and are invisible even within the spiritual realm; they can only be sensed through other means.
Demons also vary in the type of “feel” they exude. That is, when you’re in their presence various feelings come over you. It isn’t known how they choose which feeling to possess; it may be by job description or it may be according to their personality type. (Keep in mind that each demon has his own personality, just as every human does, even while falling within general categories.)
For example, with some demons you will feel right away that they fear you, and these will go out quickly at your command. Some will give the feeling of a dog trying to defend his bone; they will resist a bit and will snarl to try to scare you off; but if you know you have authority over them, they’ll soon turn and run. Some have the feeling of an argumentative teenager; they will try to argue with you and may even mock you when you order them out. It’s best not to engage in any conversation with these, if you are able to hear them; for even though they sound like teenagers they are thousands of years old and have a lot of experience in debating. You can never win a battle of logic with them because they won’t concede the point even when the facts are clear; they just want to keep you engaged until you give up. They hope that by continuing long enough you’ll get frustrated and impatient; then they’ll gain an entrance to you through your worked-up emotions. Instead, once you’ve commanded them, turn a deaf ear and keep motioning them out while you turn your thoughts to God.
Some demons are able to make you feel afraid. As soon as this feeling comes over you, reject it; don’t entertain it, don’t try to figure it out; just know where it’s coming from then reject the fear and rebuke the demon. As soon as you do so, you should feel the fear leave you. At that point use the demon’s fear against him. Tell him that you know it’s his own fear you feel and you are now turning it against him and ordering him to the Pit. Once he sees that you are able to control his fear and turn it back on him, he should fly away quickly.
Some demons are able to exude a feeling of great oppressiveness; that is, as soon as you walk into the room you feel as if you’re being enclosed in a heavy blanket, it’s hard to think, it’s hard to breathe, all your faith and confidence evaporate, and you feel like you want to run out of the room as fast as you can. When this happens, even though it’s hard to think and you feel as though you have no faith left to fight with, if you will stand against the demon anyway and rebuke him, the feeling of oppression will lift and you’ll realize it was only a projected feeling. You still really have faith and power to cast him out; you just needed to break free of his spell.
Some demons have a feel that can be likened to a thick sewer slime. When they touch you, a feeling of great disgust flows over you, and you want to leave so you can go wash yourself. I’m not positive, but it seems that the ones with this feeling are often demons of religiosity.
There are some demons who give off no feeling whatsoever. This is often the case with the ones who are being sneaky. You screen the patient for demons and find nothing; yet when you try to then give healing or a blessing, nothing happens. The blessing seems to be blocked. It can be that the blessing just stays above the person without penetrating, or it can be that all the power you’re passing is just getting sucked into what seems a black hole and disappears without conveying any benefit.
These hidden demons have to be found through other means than by screening for them with your hands. You might pay attention to the fact that the healing isn’t getting through or is disappearing, then make an assumption about a sneaky demon. Or you might ask the HS to tell you if there is a demon present that you aren’t able to sense. Once you are aware of the presence of one of these demons, then speak against it as you do for any other, referring to it by its type — sneaky demon, or hidden demon, or whatever other way you’ve identified it.
There may also be times that you are praying for someone’s healing and you think things are going well, but after they leave the healing doesn’t seem to take hold. You pray for them again and again, but still they make no progress. You screen for demons, but can’t sense any; so you’re confused about what’s happening. Once you’ve eliminated every other possibility, you may find it the case that this person has fallen under the power of a high-ranking demon who is operating on them from a distance. He is the reason the healing is being blocked, despite how successful you normally are; and his distance away from the area is the reason you haven’t been able to sense him properly. In cases like this you are going to need special preparation and assistance from God. More on this situation later.
THE “PIT”:
Demons are not native to Earth. Their natural habitation is somewhere outside our world. They are only allowed access to this world while performing their assigned duty; once their task is complete, they must leave again. There is also a place in the universe that may be likened to a spiritual prison. It has been referred to as “the Pit”, “the Void”, “the Abyss”, “Hell”, or any of a number of other names. Men and women of God are able to cancel a demon’s permission to be in this world and can send them to the Pit, under certain circumstances. In other words, without an assignment to enter the boundaries of this world, demons can approach no closer than our atmosphere. (There are tangental Bible verses which refer to them as “spirits of the air”, and such; e.g.: Ep 2:2.) Thus their “default” location is the outskirts of the atmosphere; their “assignment” location is on the Earth; and their “cast out” location is the Pit. The Pit is sort of a spiritual prison. Is 14:12, 15, “How you have fallen from heaven, o morning star, son of the dawn! … You are brought down to the grave, to the depths of the Pit.”
(Ep 2:2, “… according to the prince of the power of the air.” Ep 6:12, “We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against … spiritual wickedness in high places.” [wicked spirits of the air].)
When you command a demon to leave some one or some place, it’s important to say in your command that they must go to the Pit. Otherwise they may find a loophole in your statement that allows them to stay in this world and torment someone else.
There was an instance where we were fighting a demon who was afflicting a family. When we told it to go out all we said was to leave this couple alone. The demon did go out, but we learned the next day from the man we prayed for that when the demon went out of his home, it went next door and attacked the man’s brother who had the adjacent house. The demon used the fact that we didn’t send him to the Pit and only said “go out”, and used his assignment to trouble this particular family to wrest our words to stay in this world and torture a different member of the same family.
Also, if you have the presence of mind to remember, you should state that they are permanently bound to the Pit. Otherwise they may be able to apply for a new assignment and perhaps be allowed to come back again. Kind of like a “Get out of jail free” card. If you specifically state that they can’t ever return, then this particular demon will never get a new assignment.
BATTLING DEMONS:
When you enter a situation where there are a lot of demons present, you will often find that as soon as you say, “Go to the Pit!”, a majority of them will flee immediately, before you can say anything else; such as “chains” or “future assignments”. You will then be left to battle only the ones who are slow to go. This next type you must then order to be bound with heavenly chains. Is 28:22, “Stop your mocking, or your chains will become heavier. The Lord has told me”.
The ones that went out quickly are in jail but still have some freedom of movement there; those that you bind with chains before sending them out will be there in shackles and will be more restricted. Once you’ve bound them with chains (verbally), command them again to the Pit. They may go out at this point; if so, great! However, they may continue to resist you, so you’ll have to command that another layer of chains be put on them, and that the weight of the chains be multiplied. This causes them much discomfort. And you will have to keep making it harder and harder for them to resist you and stay in this world. If you stay at it, they’ll eventually give up, knowing that it is easier to go to the Pit than to let you keep adding to their burden. You will know it once they give up and leave; you’ll feel the atmosphere in the room lighten and the feeling of their resistance and struggling will lift.
Keep in mind that they are here by assignment; so if you have identified the type of demon they are and have identified their assignment, you can cancel their pass to be here. For example, “Demon of Cancer, I cancel your task to afflict Mr. Smith and I revoke your pass to remain in this world. I bind you with chains and cast you to the Pit. I block you from receiving any further assignments. Remain in the Pit until the Judgment.” Rv 20:1-3, “I saw an angel come from heaven having the key to the bottomless pit, and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold of the Dragon — the Devil and Satan — and bound him a thousand years. And he cast him into the bottomless pit and shut him up and set a seal on him that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years is fulfilled”.
You might also keep in mind that the power they have originally came from God. I mentioned earlier that when God gives you a gift, He doesn’t take it back. However, I haven’t found any prohibition against me taking the demon’s power away from him and then returning it to God. Similar to how when we get a new gift of power a demon can challenge us and try to cause us to lose our new power; in the same manner, I can challenge the demon and cause him to unwillingly lose his power. I tell him that I’m taking all his power from him and returning it to God; from whence it came. Then, once he’s powerless, as I command him to the Pit, he can no longer resist me. So if a demon is fighting going out, and if you know you have the authority, then strip him of his power before you cast him out.
One important thing to remember: if you take their power from them, DO NOT try to keep it for your own use; it has been corrupted. If you attempt to keep it and use it the chances are very high that by doing so you will yourself become corrupted and end up just like the one who possessed the power before you. Demon-polluted power can only be returned to God!
Regarding this next point I’m not completely certain, but from my observations it seems that in order to be cast out they have to be willing to go. The weak ones are afraid of you and have no desire to remain in the presence of the HS within you; so they are willing to go quickly. The mid-strength ones will resist a while to see if they can get you to give up first or to doubt your own authority. They do this because if they succeed they not only get to stay in this world, they also get credit for taking you down a level in your own power. So you have to persist and continue to make their burden of chains heavier and heavier until they can’t resist any longer and they feel it’s better to go to the Pit than to keep fighting. The highest level of demon is another matter. They are VERY resistant to being cast out. So you had best be sure that the HS has given you the go ahead before you take them on. Mt 17:19-21, “The disciples asked, ‘Why couldn’t we cast him out?’ And Jesus said, ‘Because of your unbelief. … However, this kind goes not out but by prayer and fasting.’”
[emphasis added]
The top level demons have been in this world for thousands of years and they’ve fought hard to keep the position they hold; so they won’t go easily. Further, they’ve successfully resisted many prayer warriors through the ages, so they have no fear of you. You will only be able to overcome them if it is specifically given to you by God. This top tier of demons has been given permission to stay in this world until the end of the age, unless God specifically revokes that permission. So if you try to command them without the express instruction of God, you are very likely to fail. Demons of this level control many underlings and are responsible for specific areas or regions of operation. So to attempt to take on a demon of this rank means that you will also be taking on his entire company of assistant demons. So let me caution you again: “Don’t try this yourself”, until God calls you to do it! An additional consideration is that you will probably not even gain access to this level of demon until you are a top level prayer warrior.
BATTLING “GENERALS”:
Demonic assignments to this world might call for a demon to work pretty much on his own; such as when one is assigned to an individual person or a single-family house, or when one has a task that calls for him to just spread a particular negative feeling. I refer to these solo or autonomous operators as “free-range demons”. A demonic assignment might also call for several demons to work together to accomplish a given purpose; such as when a team of demons is sent to harass a local church congregation, or to spread a disease in a given area, or to work together to trigger a natural disaster. These teams, large or small, can be referred to as a “legion”; or you may use any other identifier you choose.
There is also a type of assignment that calls for an entire “army” of demons, complete with hundreds or even thousands of soldiers, a large contingent of non-comms and officers, and headed by what may be termed a “general” (a demon of the highest rank). The general answers only to Lucifer directly. These army units are typically assigned to specific areas, such as a large city or even a region, where they coordinate most of their activities together so that they effect an entire population.
An example of this could be a city in a South American country where nearly everyone acknowledges a particular demon as the ruler of that area, and they worship him hoping to remain free of the diseases that seem to strike everyone who doesn’t accept his rule. (Think of the fear of voodoo in certain locales.) Someone from the US who hears about these people might scoff and dismiss their beliefs as only local superstition, but the people in that area know from experience that terrible things really do happen to those who don’t submit.
If you are ever called upon to face a situation of this type, be aware that you will have to face the entire army; for if they come under serious attack, they’ll fight as a united force. The rules for casting out army demons are also a bit different than for casting out free-range demons or legions of demons. You can’t cast out the lower level demons individually or in groups, hoping to then face the officers as fewer in number. When an army is assigned as a cohesive unit, they can only be cast out as a complete unit. Further, you can only cast out the whole unit by achieving the surrender of the general. Although the privates of this army may be afraid of you and willing to go out at your order, they aren’t free to fly away without the consent of their commanding officer. So your fight must be against the general himself, and then only if you are able to gain access to him. None of the members of the army can go to the Pit until the general consents and they all go together.
Remember what I said earlier, demons of the highest tier are most resistant to being cast out because they know they have been given permission from God to remain in this world until the end of the age, except under specific circumstances. So you will not be called on to fight an entire army unless God specially trains you for this type of battle. I mention it only so that you may be aware of the existence of this type of situation, in case you come across someone under the control of a demonic army.
YOUR AUTHORITY:
To engage in battle with demons you must know your own level of authority. Most people don’t start their life as a prayer warrior possessing power over the highest ranking demons, despite the authority given at the BHS. This is because of the limitations of their belief in the promises of God. Because their acceptance of the promises is limited, the power they exercise is limited. IF someone can fully accept the authority God gives them, then their power will be complete. But most people just can’t seem to reach this because of years of wrong thinking. Thus your ability to fight higher and higher levels of demons will likely come only incrementally. As the HS is able to correct your misconceptions and you are able to “believe” at a new level, He will make you aware that you have the power to take on demons at a new level. To progress quickly, you must be open to the corrections in your thinking that the HS is trying to make. In the meantime, be patient, use what you have for the present, and be alert to signs that you’re about to move up. And understand that each step up involves an engagement with demons of the next higher level.
For illustration let’s refer back to our discussion of levels of government service. Assume that at your BHS you’re given power over demons from levels 1 through 5. You will then encounter many situations where you will get to test your power over demons in this range. You will be protected by the HS from encountering demons of higher ranks than this, except in special circumstances.
Examples of these special circumstances are as follows. You have a loved one who is battling a demon of higher rank than you’re prepared to fight; yet you’re called on to intercede for them. In this situation the HS will let you face the demon, but the HS will screen you from the bulk of the demon’s attacks, only letting effects get through to you that are the equivalent of levels 1-5. In these situations you will inherently know that you faced something beyond your level and that the HS shielded you; letting you stand up to no more than you could take. 1 Cr 10:13, “God is faithful and will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.” You will also be allowed to come into contact with demons beyond your ability in order for you realize that despite already having a measure of power there is still more to receive, so that you might keep hungering to go higher and higher. You may also encounter a situation where you are not called to fight because the demon is beyond your ability; but because you are ignoring the messages of the HS to stand back, and instead are running ahead of Him, you may find yourself struck with a spiritual defeat that greatly discourages you and leaves you questioning God for several weeks.
Once again, it’s very important to be sensitive to the level of authority given to you and to not try to move up until told you’re ready. When it is time for you to advance to the next level, the HS will usually give you advance notice; and you should use the lead time to prepare yourself.
For example, you may get a call making an appointment to pray for a problem next week, and you learn that it is a particularly difficult case. As you hear the details you recognize that you’ve prayed for this type of issue before but have always been unsuccessful. You wonder why you’re being brought to it again, and you may even try to find someone else to take the case. But you eventually realize that it’s going to be up to you and no one else. So you begin a time of fasting and prayer leading up to the appointment. During your preparatory prayers you ask God what you’re supposed to do and say once you’re facing the situation. If you’re using the advance time to get ready, God WILL let you know what is going to happen and what you should do. If, on the other hand, you fritter away the lead time without preparing, you’ll come to the battle and lose. You then have to wait until you recover and your faith & obedience are again ready to be tested.
If you are faithful in your preparation, God will let you know that you’re going to encounter a demon of a higher level than you have before, but that you will succeed. He will encourage you that He will be there with you, and that since the battle is all but certain all you have to do is follow directions and believe that He is giving you the victory. The only way to lose is to not show up. So the appointed day comes, you face your demon, and despite his attempts to get you to give up or to doubt God, you endure to the end, doing all God has told you to do. After it’s over you find that you have successfully defeated a demon of the level 6-10 group.
Shortly thereafter you will be called on to face down another demon of this level. This is to see if you will keep and use your new authority or if you will lose it. As you face the second test the demon won’t go easily, and you won’t have had the preparation and the assurance from God that you received for the first test. All you will have is your memory of winning once already against this level, and the knowledge that once God gives you something He doesn’t take it back. So you must persist and not get deceived. Trust in your new power, and at last this demon will go out.
Once it is seen that you know your new capabilities, demons of this level won’t resist you quite so strenuously. They may occasionally be hesitant to leave, but these future encounters won’t be so bad. On the other hand, if during the second test you give up before the second demon does, you will lose the new authority you’ve gained and you’ll again drop back down to only authority over levels 1-5; at least until your next opportunity for testing. So don’t lose your newly gained ground during the second testing time; instead see that it gets permanently established.
You will then go through a period where you get to repeatedly use your new authority over levels 6-10 so that you become familiar with it and know that it’s fully yours. You will eventually receive an appointment to face a demon from the next higher bracket, levels 11-15, and you’ll have a chance to prepare for this next advance by once again using the leading time wisely.
One side note: many of us have demons or ‘afflictions from demons’ that have been troubling us for many years. As we’ve learned about the BHS and about healing people through prayer and faith we’ve tried to heal ourselves but have been unsuccessful. We keep hoping that someday we’ll have enough power to finally be cured ourselves. Related to this, be aware you can’t easily cast out demons of a particular class of afflictions from other people as long as you are suffering the effects of your own affliction of that same class. You may be able to cure more difficult problems from other types of demons; but you’ll remain weak in this one area. That is to say, you’ll find it hard to heal someone else’s bad eyesight so long as your own eyes are bad. This will continue until your faith has grown to the point that you can heal yourself.
ANGELS WITH US:
Throughout our lives, even long before we became aware of the BHS, there have been heavenly angels assigned to accompany us and help us as much as they could. It may have been only one or two with us at times; but we’ve had some degree of protection all along. Once we received the BHS, a larger contingent of angels became assigned to us to protect us against the new assaults of Satan and to enforce our orders as we command demons to the Pit.
Upon receiving each new granting of power and authority, we also receive additional platoons of angels to correspond to the greater authority we have and the greater responsibilities we are to undertake. Thus, as we encounter demons of greater rank and who have larger numbers of demonic assistants, we too have greater rank and are ourselves backed up with larger numbers of heavenly assistants.
So remember two things. First, don’t be afraid that you might become outnumbered by demons; you won’t be. You can never get “overpowered” by demons; you can only get tricked into giving up your authority and rank. Second, put your angels to work. Assign them to protect your healed patients from further demonic attacks until their healing is established; that way your patients won’t be tricked into losing their healing after you leave.
DEATH:
1Cr 15:55, “O Death, where is thy sting? Grave, where is thy victory?”
Rv 20:14, “Death and Hell were cast into the Lake of Fire.”
There is another entity you may someday encounter that is not one of Lucifer’s demons, but which is just as unnerving as Lucifer himself — that is Death.
Some people do not think of Death as a being, and instead consider it just a state of existence (or non-existence, if you’d rather). For myself, however, I believe Death to be a distinct intelligent entity. Further, he is not one of Satan’s servants; he is not a demon. He is a different category of being than any of the fallen angels and Satan. Death is neither evil nor good: he is neutral. He can be called upon by either side. He is, however, of a stature and rank at least equal to Lucifer; because the Bible says that in the end Lucifer will be conquered by Death. Then finally Death himself will be the last to die.
Death is dispassionate: no emotional plea will move him; no bluff will fool him. Likewise, if you succeed in pushing him back from a victim, he does not become enraged and seek revenge; he accepts his losses just as unemotionally as he takes his victories.
Death knows as soon as you address him whether or not you’ve been given authority to speak to him. God will never give you a blanket authority over death to always drive him back. God will only give you the ability to rebuke him on a case by case basis. There will be times when Death is about to take someone, but because of your intercession God will give you permission to claim this person, this time, and thereby deny Death from taking him yet. However, when God does that for you, it is granted just for that particular occasion; you can’t claim it as a right to keep always. God retains the final word on life and death to Himself.
