GLOSSARY OF TERMS — as used in this discussion :
Baptism of the Holy Spirit (BHS), the Holy Spirit moving from an external ministering for you to an internal dwelling with you to bring greater closeness to God and more profound changes than were possible before.
Early & Latter Rains (two applications) : 1) Corporate = The Early Rain was the Day of Pentecost experienced by the Early Disciples; and the Latter Rain is the soon to occur similar experience for Christ’s Disciples just before the Second Coming. 2) Individual = The Early Rain is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit; and the Latter Rain is a personal Pentecost experience.
Forgiveness : a decision and an act, made by us and by God, not to retain any further guilt against someone.
Glorification (two uses) : 1) receiving a new, heavenly body at the Second Coming. 2) being fully empowered with the Holy Spirit at our Full Pentecost experience.
Glory of Jesus : the Full Pentecost experience wherein the Holy Spirit comes over you in power so that you are then able to perform miracles and healings.
Holiness : a state of sinlessness due to the Holy Spirit keeping you from sinning anymore.
Justification : God forgiving us; and us accepting that forgiveness.
Latter Rain : a large outpouring of the HS on Christ’s latter disciples in the last days, just prior to the Second Coming, in order to bring everyone to a decision for or against God. Similar in scope and effect to the experience of Christ’s early disciples after the Day of Pentecost.
Manifestation of the Holy Spirit (also: Anointing of HS; Unction of HS): an internal feeling or sensation brought by the Holy Spirit to give you an unquestionable assurance that He is present and is willing to help you as much as you are willing to receive; with the understanding that every blessing is conditional.
Pentecost – Initial/Preparation for : an intermediate stage between the BHS and the Full Pentecost, in which you receive a limited measure of power to prepare you for the full experience.
Pentecost – Full (also: Glory of Jesus) : receiving the power to heal and perform miracles, such as the Early Disciples had.
Prayer of the Sinner : a weak and mostly ineffective prayer; its only usefulness is to confess sins and request forgiveness, or to request the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Prayer of Faith (aka: Prayer of the Righteous) : a moderately effective form of prayer; based on claiming specific Biblical promises, then waiting in faith.
Prayer of the Spirit (aka: Prayer of the Prophet) : a fairly powerful form of prayer; the HS guides your thoughts and directs you what to speak.
Prayer of Deliverance (aka: Prayer of the Father’s Business) : one of the most powerful forms of prayer; possible after the bestowal of authority by the HS.
Repentance : a feeling of remorse we get in connection with forgiveness that helps us to resolve not to continue to do a particular action anymore.
Righteousness : a state of sinlessness due to being forgiven for your sins.
Sanctification : the process of being transformed to reflect the character of Jesus.
Spirit of Prayer : a frame of mind where your thoughts return repeatedly to a strong desire or a situation of profound concern, and the resulting perpetual prayer to God to intervene. Often for healing of a grave illness, or to receive the BHS.
